Microscopic analysis of tachograph charts or Evaluation of digital data using special forensic evaluation software can be used in cases of:
- Road traffic collision investigation, to provide a detailed breakdown of the vehicle’s speed and an assessment of its acceleration/braking leading up to the collision.
- Route-tracing to establish if a vehicle has been ‘off-route’, to confirm or refute allegations that deliveries have not been made or theft
- Speeding – for internal investigations following a complaint or in defence of a prosecution for excess speed.
